CFS2 CFG File

Hi,
:help:
I have just reinstalled CFS2 for the umpteenth time today and for some reason it is not putting the CFS2.CFG file when being installed, hence when I try to run the game it comes up with this

Image1-5.png

I am running Windows XP with:
NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT
1280mb RAM
1.25 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP
280.06 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
92.68 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

It's very confusing as it seems as though the cfg file is the only one missing; have an original edition of CFS2 which I bought when it first came out (??? years ago!!) and it has had some usage but it has never come up with any error messages whilst installing in the past and now this. Has anybody got any ideas?
Thanks
Daryl

I get that pop-up with annoying frequency ever since I 'upgraded' from WIN 98 to XP. Haven't a clue why that is.

Hmm. I'm unfamiliar with a problem witht he .cfg file.

Attached is a cfg file that is mostly stock and works for me. Drop it into your root folder and see if it helps.

Delbydoo..., I use to have some problems with cfs2, similar like you. my advise... after searching on the net it would be ... the cfs2 sometimes takes up cells of the ram, but if your computer is infected by robots or spies.. they tend to take up same parts of the ram and tend to collide with cfs2..., so I passed ccleaner, and tuneup2008, and lavasoft antivirus and I cleaned all... after that... I have reinstalled cfs2 again, it was one year ago I couldn't play..., and be carful every time you put a new addon...
I hope it helps you

Bl**dy virus.

Twice now, my system has been infected by a virus which deleted every (and I really mean every, single) .cfg file within my 9 installs of cfs2!! Perhaps you may have a similar problem, so catch it quick. I had to re-install and recreate all 9 versions and re-install every aircraft, which cannot be considered to be even remotely fun. Death penalty for the virus creators, perhaps?

Cheers and good luck,

PomBee.:ernae:
