CFS2 Scenery/Textures/Update self installer

Hi all, after much time away from flight sims I'm coming back to CFS2. Is there an all in one installer that will update CFS2 with enhanced Scenery/textures or other updates?

Hi, Sgt; I don't think so, but half the "fun" is installing stuff. There is an endless stream of items you can download. CFS2 just keeps getting better! Read the forum, ask questions, they guys are always willing to give you a hand. Have a look in the Warbird's Library. The authors of these items have done fantastic work.

If you want to try an easy to install set of textures, try Dvslats new set,"Original CFS2 Textures Enhanced". I believe you will find them in the what's new section of the Warbird's Library. I use them and am more than happy with them. Welcome:ernae:

Hi SgtT, there are so many options for scenery that an all in one installer just wont work

we are breaking ground with a completely new set of terrain mesh by RhumbaFlappy that covers the entire globe at a medium high level of detail and WW2 areas at a high level of detail. This mesh is outstanding but it does have a down side, in that previous scenery including the stock scenery does not quite fit, there is rather a lot of water in low lying areas where it should not be.

Those in the community who build scenery are busy building to the new mesh but there is a long way to go.

For the PTO you can't do better than installing MaskRider's work
For the med and north africa see JeanBomber

For Western Europe look for SdC's work
