That might work for an old worn over stretched belt, but you'll never do it with a new belt.

And BTW, I'm sure that's an authorized use of a regular screw driver too that the manufactuer will support in a court case.

If the belt was tight he might not need to change it as often.

The only question worth asking is: is it a german screwdriver?
If it is, as soon as the VW belt finds out, it causes it to giggle and relax before it eventually gives in with a sweet hum.
