Changing allegiance

I have P. Burnages mossie and it's a great fly. Unfortunately though it seems to think it's working for Mr Hitler

How can I change the allegiance of my aircraft?

Yes, so it is Ian - and the Gryphon Mosquito is working for Emperor Hirohito.

Open the DP file with Notepad and scroll down to the [MISC_DATA] section and change the allegiance from 2 to 1.

I was trawling through the Aircraft.cfg file looking for it. Didn't think to look in Dp

Country codes

Hi Ian,

you can find CFS2 country codes in your country.cfg sitting in CFS2 root folder. CFS2 uses them to determine allegiances.

Off the top of me head:

1=Great Britain
2=Germany
3=US
4=Japan
5=USSR (Allied side)
6=Italy
7=France
8=Canada
9=New Zealand
10=Australia
11=China (WWII on Allied side)
12=France Vichy (Axis side)
13=Poland
14=Holland

Alliances can be switched around, open country.cfg with Notepad and you'll immediately see the alliance tables at the top of the file, it's easy to undertstand how CFS2 makes use of them.

It's pretty amazing how Microsoft made CFS2 so open to development. I had no idea there were provisions for so many countries
