Chasing Windmills GAS PA-18 Pitcairn Autogiro for FSX

We've complete our Quixotic adventure once again into the land of the windmill airplane, the Pitcairn Autogiro. Spurred on by a fan that we promised to revise the original PCA2 package released in 2007, we decided to center the package around the PA-18 restored to flight in 2008 and soon to be part of Kermit Weeks collection. The package does include a completely remodeled PCA-2 as well. It should be out in a week or two. Here's a walk around of both aircraft starting first with the PA-18.

Somewhere in the screen shot description, I'll credit Orbx NA PNW Blue and the FTX WA79 package. It's really great stuff.

Yeah, after seeing those screenshots I had to fly to WA79, but I almost didn't find it; somebody cut the grass since the last time I was there!

Its a very nice piece of work and recommended in our users guide with Orbx credited in the credits at the end of the video.
 
I was over at FedFlix just a while ago...just browsing... and came across this "old thing"...take not offense please.. in a 7 minute film...NO SOUND.... monoplanes, biplanes, and a character or two. Heck, look around and one might find some "old films" with grandma & grandpa or ol' uncle Bert or something. :icon_lol:

Hi Anneke,
It's Cushman Meadows, one of the ORBX fields. The PNW sceneries seem to mix well with the Golden Age Simulations aircraft:engel016:
 
I don't know how many they built but I remember seeing a red one in 1940, flying around my friend Sammy Appleton's camp in Essex, Massachusetts. It sure was peculiar sounding. The pilot flew fairly low and slow enough that he could wave at us. He made two flights around the camp and then headed North over the marsh.
I wondered what ever happened to them They disappeared after the war. In some ways I thought they were better than a helicopter. They had no tail rotor to worry about. I guess they flew just like an airplane. I look forward to flying one of them someday. That and Razbam's Helldiver.
