Parking Brakes on? Try releasing the Parking Brakes & see if the issue clears. I have seen this behavior on a number of models which if I am correct, it is attributed to the contact points of the main gear but perhaps some other cross connected issues within the config file and/or model.

It looks like there isnt enough surface resistance combined with the joystick needing some calibration or a wider null zone. My first instinct is to recommend increasing the laning gear drag in section 1101 of the air file. Increase it incrementally till the behavior stops..

Pam, I was thinking the joystick needs calibration also. I'd do that first and see if the behavior is corrected.

Agreed.. Editing the airfile is no minor task.. so its best to start with the joystic and if it doesnt get fixed look to the airfil, but only if the joystick doesnt fix it.
let me get into fsx an check it out on my system.. its been a while so bear with me here..

That would result in other aberrant behavior on takeoff an in the air, but if the fde is set up properly as I believe the lancasters is fot the most part, it would have zero effect on the ground.

Welllll, Ok. Looks like i have to eat a little crow.. I'm afraid i dont have the FCS Lancaster and It is not available for purchase that i can find. Even if it was, I'm broken..
If i'm corect however the FCS Lanc was an FS2004 plane. This normally means nothing but sometimes, theres something tweaked in the dlight moels for fs9 that cause problems in fsx. Normally, increasing null zones shoulnt be the solution for a probel like this where the ircraft is sitting still. Causes for problems such as displayed are generally going to be things like, one engine having a higher output than the others, surface drag bing too low, contact point needing adjustment or the joystick being out of whack and specifically in the z rotation. if it was the joystick though i would think that all aircraft were doing it so it may be a combination of joystick and fs9 flight models causing the multiple isues here..

I loaded the Mosquito (yes, in FSX) and did edits. I duplicated the 'bizarre' behavior. I made a video to 'prove' it. (You say it's 'payware'? Cheesh!)
The problem is not just fuel load (ie-only left main full and the right empty, or zero fuel). It's the yaw MOI that is not right.
You need to DOUBLE the yaw MOI. That will solve this problem. You can then reduce until it does it again and then increase the value to where it quits 'spinning' but yet it steers/turns like you want it to.
The Mosquito was: empty_weight_yaw_MOI= 45250.000 //o=27818.000 (the commented out value was the 'original' value). It spun with '4525.000' (1/10 of original) and 8x speed and full fuel load out. Here is video. http://youtu.be/heXMXtPFB-o . Be sure to go to 'settings' (gear) and click on 360 dpi or video will look blurry. Cheers. (I'm TOO GOOD (hehe)).

So your saying that the person who wrote the fde didnt set up the moments of Inertia correctly?? Hmm.. Wouldnt be the first time thats happened .. this really makes me wish that aircrft were still available so i could run the numbers and give you accurate MOIs all around. Oh nd, I havent run any numbers but yeah, that 45250 sounds about right for a skeeter..
Well, I DID notice that the OP video is showing the view as it 'acts' in 'Spot' view, which has latency and which effects how you see the effect (camera is not 'locked' in). But if he had had the view as 'Locked Spot' you would not see any latency. So, Good Eye, but the problem most likely is like I say. Zero Weight Yaw is wrong and should be increased up to double what it is. I am waiting for Roger to run his experiment (hehe).
You need to set speed to 16x to see it spin faster, so you speed it up more than 'normal'. And I am not sure if 'results' would be different with a non-native when compared to a native model. The Mosquito is by Bruno Escaravage (orig for FS2k2) and updated for FS9 by Paul "Bradburger" Bradford (from SOH). I just dropped it into FSX and it works 'ok' (after some 'minor' tweaks to the FDEs). I doubled the original value for the yaw when I first loaded it. I picked it because it is a prop job, as was the OP's aircraft, just to compare apples-with-apples. I thought there might be some other issue(s) but it don't seem like it. It's just the yaw MOI's as far as I can tell. You can't make it spin like that by changing weight, or fuel, etc. When I say that it's a gray mare, it's because I have some of it's hairs in my hand (ha). Have fun.
