Check this out for a vc!!

Thank you for the pricing clarifications, AusWilko. From what I've seen thus far, it appears that the bar for in-depth airliner systems simulation has been raised quite considerably.:applause:

$20, $40, $60 ? surely it doesn't matter with releases of that quality and complexity. If you are new to FSX or a "light" simmer, it is unlikely that you would buy such a thing anyway.

However, if you are heavily into systems and realism in visuals and you have the time to fly it properly, you will.

The price difference? well, how many coffees would you have to give up to make up the balance?

That is a remarkable piece of work and should be worth every cent of $200.

Well it is all about what you can afford, YOU may be ok with $200 because you have spare dollars to buy what you want, for others it might be a matter of balancing what they can afford for their hobby and what they want for the coffees with their wifes and having a real life.

I am sure it will sell well and lots will buy it, there will be the usual snobbery of if you don't buy it then you are less of a simmer which is laughable because you are a grown adult sitting in front of a pc pretending to fly a plane, so are you more serious at pretending if you own it than if you don't LOL

Enjoy your hobby and if you want it and can afford it then buy it and love it, me I am unsure if my pc will handle it so I am waiting and watching at this point

The meaning of my post was that there is a big difference between what something is worth and what you can afford. Just because one can't afford something doesn't mean it is therefore not worth the money.

In my opinion, a large percentage of what is available in add-ons for FSX is worth far more than what we pay.

I worked with PMDG on their FSX 747-400 and was impressed with their thouroughness and accuracy. I fly the real plane (747) as my day/night job....

Rob Rendazzo, the honcho at PMDG is a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with.

Cheers: Tom

Yeah, there is no doubt that PMDG is on top along with A2A and the likes so it is more than likely worth the money.

Thing is if they charge to much then sales suffer, charge to little and no return on the time and effort invested.

I am not sure how much the market will go to as far as pricing before the average simmer balks and moves away, I think $80 is around the point where most will walk away from a addon plane, the true die hards will pay but the average joe will have a limit.

Very nice indeed, I'd buy it if I had a PC that could run it :). On a personal note, models like that make me realize how crap I was at modeling LOL.

I bought the QW757 recently and found that as good as I can muster on my PC, haven't got into the systems too much yet, runs pretty much like the Aerosoft Airbus which I like too, both fluid enough to be enjoyable.

Its all about what floats your boat really.

Best

Michael

The average simmer flies default and maybe some freeware aircraft. We're a niche within a niche.

The NGX is going to sell like crazy.
