Check This Out!

This is what I came up with. A nice, bright flashing beacon light just above the white light. I'm using a shockwave beacon light effect.

Access to the guns

Using MCX, I played the animation of the Banshee and noticed that the wings fold and the guns access panel opens. Is there a key assignment to open the gun panel or a switch in the cockpit?

Hello,

For the gps pop up, see the file panel.cfg, and modify the last line like this:
[Default View]
X = 0
Y = 0
Size_x = 8191
SIZE_Y = 6143 // 4400 (origin)
For the wheels, it's the same for me!

Thank-you, for this, Alain. I will try your mod.

I'm Always in the office during take off! Keeping the plane on the runway is a bit difficult walking beside it at 80 mph!

Yes, me too. That's why it took me six days to discover this.
I think this is a texture issue of sorts ... perhaps after a certain speed, the texture switches to a new black wheel version coded in the model somewhere.

At least I know I installed everything correctly, since others are experiencing the same effect. No biggie.

I tried the FSX Banjo in P3D (I dont have FSX anymore) with my repaints, and everything seemed to work without any glitches, so there is a good chance my repaints will work in FSX as well, without any adaptations.
This is the FSX model in my sim:

doesn't look so bad, does it? Can anyone try in FSX?

Hi Jankees,

I tried the 'NARW-87 Oakland' paint in my FSX today.

Exterior looks very nice, although a bit too glossy from some angles (maybe due to PBR ?), but in the VC, the frame around the sliding canopy and the 'oval' glass frame just above the HUD seem to have a bright 'silvery-white' glow, especially when VC light is turned 'on'. I really wish this paint was not-PBR as it is probably the most unique and breathtaking Banshee paint I have ever come across.

The paints of JanKees look a bit rough on my machine, a bit grainy. I noticed the these are in DXT-1 format. Changing them with DXTBmp to DXT-5 888-8 32-bits makes everything crisp and clear.
