Chrome Browser

Yep, but AdBlocker Plus also bocks all ads embedded to sites not just pop-ups. I get easily very annoyed by some sites that are full of blinking and flashing ads.:kilroy:

Just ran some tests with Chrome and it feels very smooth. And it automatically imported all my Firefox bookmarks, settings and passwords:medals:

Timely thread, I'm still on IE7 and Vista64. I just started having problems trying to close out of MSN, I get the window asking me if I want to sign out and when I click okay MSN.EXE crashes. I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a solution.

Last week I updated the monthly updates. It requested I add something new just to use the updater. The next day when I booted up I knew something was wrong due to the slow boot.

Reliability Monitor showed Windows Active X, Aux, and Core Components were updated.

Not sure if it's anything to do with that or not, I always do my updates manually but don't remember the permission for this unless it was the update needed to use the updates feature.:isadizzy:

Internet search only shows sites wanting to fix it for me by selling me something I rather not have.

I think the crash has something to do with MSN Messenger 7, I was offered an option to repair it in add/remove program (Programs and Features in Vista). But the repair did not correct.

Any Internet Guru's with a solution?

I haven't gone to IE 8 as I had read somewhere it can screwup internet E-Mail.

Well at least they have now fixed this horrid mess of a logo:icon_lol:

I tried Chrome for a couple days, but Firefox has too many useful tools for me to stop using at this time.

If Chrome ever catches up in that area by allowing users to create apps for it other than fancy themes, and stays away from being propriety like IE, maybe I'll think about switching.

Frankly I would never recommend using IE to anyone, anyway.

+1...Firefox for me too. I couldn't live without some of the 3rd part plugins :)

Because of this thread I went and played around with Chrome some more today. It's slower than IE6 on my comp (don't have 7 or 8). Firefox works much better for me. And to be honest, I'm just not interested in Opera although I did try it once.

One could run a contest of sorts...

I was downloading AI traffic for Charles de Gaulle airport.
The way I do it, is to copy and paste the WOAI airport list into a spreadsheet, keeping the links hot.
I then click each, which opens the WOAI page, then click the download link to flightsim.com.
And so on, down the list.
I can report that after fifty-something tabs were open in Chrome, it was still happily downloading away...:kilroy:
