Claims rejected and captured to boot.

Annoying and not fun. Playing as German in Albd2, 8 missions into campaign. Had 5 claims pending from 2 previous missions. No way to know if my lengthy write ups were good or bad, devs not telling. Got three more kills on next mission but last N17 damaged me enough to force a landing in the fields on german side of the line, about 2km from the front. Landing went perfectly, but plane was listed as destroyed, I was captured (?), end of war, 5 pending claims rejected. All 5 (8) kills were over friendly areas near the lines and should have been in full view of ground forces, with wrecks easily locatable.

Pol and winder: Claim system, without more guidance, is not fun. Please give us a way to nerf or avoid it. Also, are trenches in the wrong places?

ps: the fighting and flying is GREAT! Its the other bits that are troubling.

Ok , here are clues ******spoiler alert****** anyone not interested in discovering this infomration via forums and would rather do it in game via trial and error please IGNORE!

****************************************************

Start with descritpiton of encounter and make sure you have details on the following:

Location (real details...east of certain airfield etc.)
altitude
ammunition expenditure
description of enemy, details including color and camo patterns
description of final moments
where the enemy plane fell (location again...details)
winesses and what they were doing etc.

Here are 4 recent confirmations and one pending. The pending I include because it has the higest number I have seen yet (96) associated with it.

Great writing, as always MK2! Feels like beeing there.

DD, you can set the realism of your claims in workshop. There is an option to confirm kills at once.
If you want to participate in the DiD-game, then you have to deal with it. Hope you enjoy the immersion of the game. Seemed like your pilot fell ontop of an enemy scouting party, or there was just a major attack of enemy forces, and your trenches were overrun.
Yepp! Everything is possible in the world of OFF!:applause:

Claim system can be bypassed in workshops - it is in the known issues/additional features list thread above - maybe take a look.

Depends how close to the lines you landed then there is always a chance of capture.

Hey Dave. Don't be daunted. Under the workshop tab on the main screen you can make kill claims easier or set it to just automatically give you every kill you get.

And while Mk2 certainly has mad typing skills, you don't need to write a book to get confimations. I regularly get in the 70's for my pending score just by writing two sentences like:"Engaged enemy a/c flight at 4000 feet. After chasing them to the deck, one was seen to crash out of control after firing 100 rounds into it." I get most of my kills confirmed this way.

Party on.

Thanks for the replies gents. I have been putting in all the detail I can recall, but my highest "score" was a 64 and most were under 50. It seems that multiple kill claims (ie, 3DH2) end up with the lowest scores. I dont want to turn the claims system completely off, but to be honest, I have yet to have a single claim confirmed after watching roughly 30 EA pancake during the four campaigns I've had so far. Maybe I'm just not living long enough. I'd prefer if the claims were confirmed or denied the next day and that kills occuring near the lines had 80%+ chance of being confirmed. Ive heard of people "ressurecting" thir pilots when QTDs and other mishaps occur, how does one do that?

Me not either, no kill confirmed yet. Cause I almost die the 4th, at least the 6 th day of my campaign. This is how long postal goes to Berlin:whistle:.

Dont panic, i fill my claims in german language, and i get at least 40 to 50 percentage. Keep testing:friday:

The whole point is to be realistic. No claim is guaranteed on the normal settings even those YOU believe you got.. remember the Blue Max film just like that ;)

Claims near the ground may be claimed by others too, or even ground troops, and often would take days or weeks to come through. Reduce the campaign frequency to get 1 mission per day if you prefer to move faster, OR go for easier claims, or instant kill confirmations as per the settings in the workshop - that's what those options are for - for those who don't like the way it is.

I'm normally not to concerned with claims, because forced landings or ditchings are a daily occurance. 11 times I've been captured, and made a POW, 11 times I escaped after a few days, and rejoined my mates.

Might have something to do with my pilot, that can never die :kilroy:

Yep, 'pilot never dies' setting also functions as a 'pilot always escapes' setting.

Merciful Heaven's ! You win Mk2 ! My claims are about one line :kilroy: ....... with one witness :kilroy: ...... and I have to pay him :kilroy:

LOL! Can you tell I really, really, really, enjoy the claims report part of the game? :ernae:

Im with MK2. I've found that if I dont control myself in writing 1 claim....it'll end up as a published book!

Well, 15 claims and 1 accepted. Shot down Dostler, Adams, Rahn and Baum and a few other aces and the only credit was for an Airman.,Sheesh!!:faint:

Seemingly not enough detail in your claims and you cited no witnesses?

WM

Didn't have any witnesses, except for the enemy I shot down. Thats why I entered either none or N/A, should I make up names? :typing:

I shot one down honest Mr claims officer.

Yep put in a witness someone from your flight.

You'd have a flight in Campaign, however if to you wish to remain in QC, with an overpowering weapon, shooting down Aces; Left & Right
I suppose a price must be paid

Why not be a Man, leave your childhood toys behind, sample what it was like in the War to end all Wars. Virtually Speaking of Course

You'll discover if all those aces, smoke a turd in hell, because of your skill as a pilot, or your use of a overpowering weapon. :kilroy:

Hiccup any chance you can post a sample of one of the 15 rejected? I am 5 out of 6 1 out 15 seems rough. and yes enter your flight mates as witnesses no matter what , pretend you flew over the crash with them !
