Plenty of British aircraft have been released as freeware for FsX, and most are real gems!

Dave Garwood's Hunters:

And his Dragon Rapide:

Dave did a great Bristol Beaufighter and an Auster too but I don't have those installed at the moment as the result of a major computer crash.

Westland Wyvern from the same site:

Looking at the various sites there's plenty more to come in the future!

Yep 3 Cheers for all of DG's stuff, especially the Auster and Hunter; Ant's Tiger Moth is awesome as well!

Thanks for the Heads Up on that Fairey Swordfish....just what I need, another biplane; I think I'm addicted to the old birds right now. Wonder how MAAM is coming with their....:kilroy:

Hear hear.....

An honourable mention too to Rick Piper for his Bristol Sycamore, forthcoming HP Jetstream and FS9 ports...the A22 Foxbat (not a British design...but yet a very nice microlite) and DH.Chipmunk. :salute::ernae:

Just to complete Dave Garwood's list.

One of the Beaufighters

and his Auster

And although I am definitely looking forward to his Mosquito, I still hope that he will find some time one day to redo his Anson in a native FSX version as well.... (wishful thinking ;) )

Cheers,
Huub

Mossie? someone mentioned a mossie? *falls flat* am i dead? DG doing a mossie? *trying to catch breath* ok now that i can't wait for!

Guaranteed to be something special if Dave Garwood is doing it. F.B.VI is my favourite (now who would guess!) but any Mossie will be most welcome.:salute::salute:

I thought for sure this was going to be a thread for the release of the Sea Hornet. All good though.

. . . Dave's other FSX offers . . . Beaufighter ( with which I spend a lot of time racing around the Fjords) . . . .
Uh . . . you're saying that Dave has made a Beaufighter that's FSX-oriented!?!?! Well flimflam my flapdoodle, I must quickly go and hunt that rascal down!

Thanks for pointing this out, Pips!!

LOL...where have you been! I guess news travels slow in NS! ;)

I see 'Ferry' has already provided a link for you and will only add that if you get her just watch your approach speed. She's a peach on approach until you hit about 90 (can't remember if that's MPH or KTS) but you will know if you drop below it as she will drop like a stone with a nasty yaw to boot! Not what you want when 100 ft from the perimeter fence at 200 ft altitude! I bent her a few times when she first came out before I got the hang of the approaches.

A very nice think form Dave Garwood's FSX Rapide is the fact the FS9 textures fit without any problems.

Although this is most probably common knowledge, I thought I should mention it for the one or to who didn't know.....

Cheers,
Huub

always have had a soft spot for the Drag Rap... i'm off to get her to add to all the other DeHavillands in my sim :icon_lol:

Well flimflam my flapdoodle ...

Flimflam your flapdoodle????

This is a "G" rated forum sir....we do not "Flimflam our Flapdoodles" here.

We do just about everything else, but there are limits.

:mixedsmi:

P.S. The Beaufighter is excellent. It will flimflam your flapdoodle.
