clipboard in vista

where do you find the clipboard in windows vista? im having a heck of a time finding it...

As far as I know, "clipboard" is a memory location. You Ctrl-C the highlighted text into the "clipboard memory" then must Ctrl-V (paste) that into notepad.exe or wordpad.exe or some other text program.

You can paste photos into paint. That's usually what I do with most random screencaptures.
