Coastie repaint for Aerosoft Beaver X?

It seems greedy to ask for more repaints, when the product comes with around 40. But does anyone have a Coast Guard repaint for a float or amphibian?

Whose Coastguard? I know I painted a couple of those 40 in the delivery pack and several others, but I haven't done a coastie yet.

Not that I am promising, but a "light" paint would be a relief from the HD stuff I am toying with.

Sorry for being vague. That would be the United States Coast Guard, for flying around Tongass Fjords.

Interesting USCG concept aircraft type. Would be interesting to see and fly around Tongass and Kodiak.

Well let me see... we'd have to make it fictional and at least amphibian to get the prettier colour set.

Where's the nearest flying base to Tongass? That would be the unit designator on the fin. Being Beaver, it'd be a good do to use the 1950's USCG style paints.

I happen to have a link to one of the US paint handbooks and I think the 50s style (although not much different) does have that certain touch. I'll do it in the Search and Rescue mode, after all, you're going to the lakes and fjords...

...OK

There's a CGAS at Sitka. Used to be NAS Sitka..four hangers on a pier, two water ramps and one arrestor cable. I can't remember if Bill put the water ramps in, but two of the hangers are there. Aces provided a ramp in one of the libraries; probably missions.

Thank you, Chris. When I asked, "Does anyone have..." I really meant "Does anyone know of..." But I am very grateful.

I need a break from the heavy stuff I am working on and your post seemed to add the right amount of R & R

Something along these lines?

Got to find the floats etc., but this looks the part and is based at PANT - where there was a USCG base in the 50s.

OK, it isn't Tongass, but I happen to be an original Misty fan :running: and Annette had a nice addon airfield from BFU. Besides, with its' closeness to Ketchikan, it's probably a wiser choice? No? And the USCG didn't move to Sitka until later...

Purely fiction as the USCG never had L-20A's in their inventory. A few little lining up, sizings and matchings to do, but it looks good in sim already. No more screenies because the "Marines" specular is still in use - tut tut!!!

Oh go on then...

...but I have got some cleaning up to do and there's a photo session with a reall P51D booked on the weekend...

Kodiak Quest has a nice wheeled and float (USCG) ver.

Here is the one I use to fly around Tongass....

Not too sure what a Kodiak has to do with a USCG Beaver; it's not even painted coastguard style, but OK...

Anyhows... She's all done bar a few minor things like finding the aileron hinges and fixing an Aerosoft mapping error on the wings (I can back that up, so don't think I am picking nits).

So without further ado, may I present L20A number 4711 in fifties USCG livery if she had been stationed on Annette Island.
