I've seen numerous interviews with him on various documentaries both when he was active duty and after he had retired. He was a good speaker and
seemed to be a pilot's pilot. He communicated what it meant to him to be a pilot very well and you walked away knowing that he loved what he was
doing.
 
Thank you Rami..He a hero from WW2.Legendary while he was alive They did a great job on the History Channel with his story.Yes The "BOLO"in Nam..Amazing he and those pilots did. I was impressed with his daughter,She added a personnel touch Having a guy like him for a Dad.She said the interest in her Dad ,from People and Pilots world over has never ceased.Of course he represented only one of that Great Generation,So many more.However,I believe all Generations are America's Greatest..Just Task them!,.You may take note of a post I put up,One More Medal Of Honor Winner.he too represents what most take for granted.the Kids Of America!
