Coming home to Bowerman, another Freeware Orbx PNW Jem!

SOH-CM-2023
Most readers will no doubt be familiar with the angst of transition, brought on by the arrival of Prepar3D v4. My "normal" flightings take place in the FLs with PMDG and PSX aircraft. To relax, I go home to Orbx, at the moment in the RealAir Scout.... but soon I hope, once again in my beloved Annsuchka. Anyhow, today we came home to the PNW and Bowerman. This ought to be a familiar place for all Orbx afficianados, but truth be told, this was my first visit to KHQM and Lana's Cafe did not disappoint. The coffee was hot, and the apple pie delicious... but that's a tangent.... coming home to Orbx's PNW was the piece de resistance!

It was so beautiful, that I couldn't resist and ran her all the way to the end, just so I wouldn't miss anything....

Here we are over the piano keys, looking out over the bay, and gasping at the wonder of it all....

You know, Vandenburg, where I pumped gas, and learned to leave the desultory earth behind, had a fence just like this... and the neighborhood kids would ride their bikes over to come and watch the planes gas up....

We had a gas pump circle just like this one, and I spent lots of time on ladders, pouring 100LL into high wings.... no JP4 though... so Caravan's were scarce... although a truck could be scared up for the SO's ghetto birds...

After gassing up, it was a short taxi over to Lana's Place. I had heard so much about this place, I had to see for myself.... standing there with the top and lower door open, she looked so much like my Champ, it made my heart ache.... I have so many memories of airports, standing in almost exactly the same spot, looking into the cabin and over the wing.... a long time ago, yes. Forgotten, no!

I had to go take a look at what the fuss was all about....

I couldn't decide if the Blazer was towing a Blanik or a Schweizer.... any clues?
