• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

lol, I say that tongue-in-cheek as it could be just about any time now. The latest is that the patch will be 100megs, also they will apply the patch to the 10gig download also making it version 2.1
In other words, if you haven't bought it yet, when you do, it will already have the patch applied.

I haven't touched P3D in a while due to practice sessions for the upcoming RTWR as P3D isn't usable due to the lack of a RW Weather engine. It would have been great to be able fly the Race in P3D with the patch applied. . .woohoo, lol.

Interesting that reading the thread mentioned by "Mazo" in this Forum, some are viewing this upcoming release as a "pre-patch/Major Bug fix" and not the originally planned "Ver. 2.1 release with new features". There are those who feel that Ver. 2 isn't what they paid for and that releasing "Bug-Fixes" simply puts the user in a position of being a Beta Tester and not a true "User". They appear to feel that Ver. 2 was not what everyone expected and that repeated beta testing by folks who have already paid for the Sim will eventually lead to many dropping the sim out of frustration that it still isn't what it was supposed to be. Interesting!!

Talking about the weather, if I remember correctly they stated that they have fixed the 75°C layer at 0 altitude bug which always happens when injecting weather from an external weather program. If this is true, that means you'll be able to use the freeware RealWeatherX program to get some decent real weather into your P3D :)

There was nothing quite like trying to take off in the 75 C temps. Loading up the A2A Cessna 172 was interesting...the windows fogged up immediately.

"Some?" No, just one really. Please take note that "Captainslarty" is a new poster (only 4 posts), and is known elsewhere as a troll. He makes a completely unsupported -and unsupportable!- claim that "...the majority of people who paid good money are not using the product due to these bugs..."

How on earth could me possibly know that? Such specious assertions render automatically anything else he might say highly suspect.

Yeah, I already posted this over on P3D forum: " I would sure like to see concrete published data to prove this statement!" Totally agree that after statements like this, you should automatically discount his contributions to the subject.

Loving P3DV2.0 and looking forward to the updates as they come! I expect a great future for this simulation.

Same here. Loving this sim.

The amount of bugs in P3 compared to the amount of bugs in FSX, I'll stick with P3 thanks.
