Commercial 747...?

Which 747 model are you thinking about?
There aren't really any good pre 400 models out there for FSX.
The CLS 200/300 is a lite model, but depending on what level of complexity you want it is pretty ok.

The best I think still is the PMDG 747-400. It is getting a bit dated, and a v2 is underway, which you might want to wait for. This v2 is also supposed to include the -8 models in an expansion pack.

Another option is the newly released ifly 747-400. I have not tried it but their previous release the 737 was pretty good. Though not as good as PMDG.

Thanks for the information and links. I have high regard for PMDG and will look into the v2 development.
