Compatibility of irrelevant (i.e. my) add-ons with P3Dv4

Bjoern

worst developer ever
Too lazy to post this in the P3D forum.

I've added disclaimers about 64 bit compatibility for most of my aircraft and gauge related add-ons.

For the equally lazy, these are the add-ons that are compatible with P3Dv4 at the moment:
- Do-328 (does not apply to any third party panels)
- Default DC-3 Fixes
- Tom Ruth 727 FDE
- Automixture
- Maintenance Income Tool
- VSWXR

Logically, the rest of my add-ons are NOT P3Dv4 compatible at the moment because they depend on 32 bit gauges, which will require updating from their respective developer(s).

Other than that: New career in the federal defense sector with lots of travelling and therefor hardly any time to feed the everlasting greed for new (or updated) add-ons. :)

Bjoern-

I remain obliged. The MIT has a lot of appeal, and I plan on delving into it as soon as practicable.

Best- Carl

Well, once you've amassed some of the fruits of your labours you'll be able to buy a nice one! :a1310: :costumed-smiley-034

Good I can go back to breaking your Do328:very_drunk: in P3DV4 and my fun getting a VC in it lol. Now I gotta blow the dust off my VC transplant Notes lol.

Good for you! I hated wearing ties...and it was only when I worked for a government entity did I have to wear them. Just another uniform. Glad I'm retired from both worlds.

I've updated the compatibility notes for the rest of my stuff.

Now compatible, with a bit of extra work*:
- Aero L-39C
- DC-3 Enhanced
- Fokker 27 Family
- DMFS BAC 1-11 upgrade
- Airbus Callouts
- Old Callouts

P3Dv4 compatible by default:
- Retro ADEX
- FlySimWare Learjet 35A Mods

Questionable compatibility:
- Inner German Border scenery (depends on P3Dv4's terrain.cfg handling)
- Simple Road Traffic (depends on LWcfg.xml handling)

P3Dv4 compatibility irrelevant:
- FSXSVC

Not P3Dv4 compatible:
- Convair 580 (too many very old 32bit gauges)
- TinFork 737-200Adv (all gauges 32bit)
- Quality Wings 757 mods (base aircraft not 64bit compatible; I do not own the aircraft anymore)
- RAZBAM Metroliner 3 mods (still working on making it compatible)
- SCS Tu-134 mods (FS9 native model; too many 32bit gauges)
- Sky Simulations DC-9v2 mods (do not own the P3Dv4 version; can not adapt the mods)

*Replacing the 32bit XML sound and/or XML config and/or fuel dump gauges with their 64bit versions

P.S:
Quit my career as a professional suit wearer. Still traumatized.

P.P.S:
Mods, haul this thread over to the P3Dv4 forum, please.

Best of luck in the new job Bjoern. Your contributions to this simulation were fantastic and appreciated by many.

"Were", lol.

But you're right, job and add-on development doesn't mix well. Way too little time for the latter because of too much time spent at the former. Big projects are just not feasible anymore.

Apologies for the mistake, were and are appreciated by former and current members.

I was forced to wear a suit on my first day. It was horrible!
Late as usual.
So you've gone all 'Establishment' then.
After my life time in the Green Machine I can count the number of times of wearing ties (other than as a Duntroon 'Cadet') on one and one half hands.......:biggrin-new:
Useless in the jungle, desert, urban environment and the snow!
Absolutely dangerous in the SBS unit!!!!!!!!!!!

Not anymore. Along with my looks, that job would have (long term) crushed my spirit as well (federal agency), so I threw in the towel and am looking for something in a shirtsleeve or t-shirt environment at the moment.

- E: This thread is still in the P3Dv3 section, btw.

I'll move it to the v4 forum.

I'll move it to the v4 forum.

You beat me to it, Roger :)

You'll get used to ties, Bjoern :) I'm not an avid tie and suit wearer either and avoid it if I can, but IMO it's a small sacrifice for having a well paid and good job!

Thanks for your work and for sharing it.

Cheers,
Mark

Not anymore; threw in the towel. The career sounded better on paper than it turned out to be, regardless of the big bucks and perks that come with the "federal employee" status.
