After the somewhat bulky Teutonic and American cars in part one & two, it's now time for the British, who have a long history of small and lightweight cars.

The Rocket:

Love those 'Loti', minimalist sports racing cars at their best, but I must admit that Gordon Murray's 'Rocket' is another favourite!!
Nice Bentley even if it is a replica, one of the best coachwork builds of the time.
And whoever 'restyled' that poor XK Jaguar needs rooting, shooting and electrocuting......

The orginal Bentley Blue Train Special had a body by Gurney Nutting and was supposedly driven by Woolf Barnato when he beat the 'Train Blue' in a race from Cannes to Calais. Barnato even claimed he could get his car to London before the train would reach Calais, and he won by four minutes! Recent research however by the current owner of the origibal Gurney Nutting speed six revealed the car wasn't finished in March 1930 and Barnato used a different Bentley for the race.

This recreation (One of five) was done by British Bently specialist Bob Petersen and has a Rolls-Royce straight-eight engine.
