Contrails

I like my Bomber aircraft with contrails streaming out behind them in flight.

I have reloaded my ETO and BoB Theatres and would like to start again.

I believe there is a project in SOH CFS3 but can not remember its name?

As I have said before any help would appreciated?

I am not as swift as I use to be!

If you are using AnKor's shaders than you can have altitude dependent Contrails, otherwise you need the old speed dependent ones.

Generally with the new shaders you're looking to add something simple like

<Effect Type="Track" EffectName="fx_high_contrail" Location="emitter_eng0_exh_r" />
<Effect Type="Track" EffectName="fx_high_contrail" Location="emitter_eng0_exh_l" />

to the effects part of your xdp file.

The shaders Texturemagic.ini already includes

[HighAltSprite]
tr_condenstrail_basis1.dds=7500|500
tr_condenstrail_basis2.dds=7500|500
tr_condenstrail_basis3.dds=2500|-1500

to provide the altitude (in meters) for the Contrails and Wingtip G Trail to start becoming visible, with the second number being the 0-100% blending distance. These values can be manually adjusted to match your particular weather conditions if desired.
