• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Control Assignments Gone Haywire

Somewhere along the way, the controls have lost the assignments I had set for all the buttons. Even after going back and redoing them, when I go back to start a flight again later, or the next day, they've all reverted back to default. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or know what might be causing it? I use a CH Pro Throttle (USB) and a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick (USB).

Noticed this in the FSX.cfg file:
[CONTROLS]
Controls_Current=Standard
Controls_Default=Standard
KBDAIL=64
KBDELEV=64
KBDRUD=64

Should they both be listed or only one? Never paid any attention to this until now, of course.

One other note. The current date for the "standard.xml" file in the control folder is todays date and the time stamp is the time, this evening, that I started to fly and discovered that the controls settings had reverted to default.
