Cool Bike

interesting for sure! I wonder how it behaves at higher rpm going in a curve. That large rotating mass will probably want to stay in space where it is.

But I don't like the open belt drive, that looks like an accident waiting to happen. Imagine fingers / straps / other FOD getting cought in there....

The sound should be awesome!

We have a company http://www.leonhardtweb.de/ here that manufactures the "Gunbus", among other things:

The engine is made of radial engine parts. I once saw that monster, but alas, only on static display.

Cheers,
Mark

The point of gravity is very high and the long wheel base and sloped front fork will make it a machine which is only usable to ride straight lines.

As it is not rotary engine you only have to deal with the gyroscopic effect from the crank shaft. The crankshaft must be an interesting thing to see as they must have merged three into one.

Nice to look at, but most likely not very easy to ride. But I guess it was built for dragster racing.

It's definitely cool looking butt....It's a rigid frame with that big old shaker hard mounted. After fifty miles your fillings would all be out on the highway. I can't imagine riding that big dog in the heat. Maybe in turnout gear, but that is another 5 jugs puttin' out a bunch of heat with nowhere to go but up into your rear end.

I love concept bikes, but for a guy who rides 1500 miles a month I go with something a bit more...down to earth...heh heh.
My built 106 makes 125 HP and it's a hot ***...literally.

That radial contraption is more for show than anything. Some aviation buff or pilot who has more dosh than he knows what to do with. I'd make a bet that when that engine coughs it feels like sledgehammer. I couldn't even imagine sitting in traffic on that thing.

This would be a more readable geometry and if you ever laid it over at the gas station, it has a built in roll bar. I love the oil spot at the end of the video. Looks like it could use a new set of rings.

On the one hand, you can never have too big an engine and thus I must love this. On the other with the range of temperatures aero engines have to work over they're not built to the tightest of tolerance which leads to a fairly poor power/displacement ratio, not to mention pretty poor fuel economy so that tank must need fairly regular topping up!

GMan, Nice Fatboy!!!!!:salute:

All mine. I did the paint and the wrenches. Thanks HD

Those are the old barrels. I went S&S 106 barrels and matched flat tops on the new build. I ran Weiscos until I figured out Weisco and HD aren't a marriage made in heaven. Went to the S&S LT lifters too...big difference. Ported & polished SE heads (milled .012), big valves, roller rockers/towers and Wood cams 650/256 4 degree key, balanced and welded stroker crank. Had to massage the injectors a bit to keep the fuel moving.
V&H 2into1 tuned big radius pipe breathes good but removed the baffle to balance the back pressure.

The torque, solid 130lbs. hits at about 3k and rocks to about 5500 then tapers off a tad through 6K. The motor is good for 8K, but will never see it. The balancer would self destruct for sure. Second, third and fourth are a kick in the butt. I see a buck thirty in fourth so never really use fifth except to cruise. This motor doesn't like low RPM so I cruise 3,200 4th makes about 65. I states where nobody cares I can cruise 80 to the century comfortable in number 5.

Mines not as worked up as yours. She's a 06 FLHTCI that I got when I retired with 14 miles on her and now she is got over 83,000 and still running strong. Key West to Maine and out to Sturgis and beyond. Wouldn't give it up for anything. Next long trip to the west coast and back. Ride Safe and keep up the great work, it is a pleasure to behold!!!!
