Those are the old barrels. I went S&S 106 barrels and matched flat tops on the new build. I ran Weiscos until I figured out Weisco and HD aren't a marriage made in heaven. Went to the S&S LT lifters too...big difference. Ported & polished SE heads (milled .012), big valves, roller rockers/towers and Wood cams 650/256 4 degree key, balanced and welded stroker crank. Had to massage the injectors a bit to keep the fuel moving.
V&H 2into1 tuned big radius pipe breathes good but removed the baffle to balance the back pressure.
The torque, solid 130lbs. hits at about 3k and rocks to about 5500 then tapers off a tad through 6K. The motor is good for 8K, but will never see it. The balancer would self destruct for sure. Second, third and fourth are a kick in the butt. I see a buck thirty in fourth so never really use fifth except to cruise. This motor doesn't like low RPM so I cruise 3,200 4th makes about 65. I states where nobody cares I can cruise 80 to the century comfortable in number 5.
