Cool Oshkosh videos

Wow! We saw Major "Rocket" Baker everyday performing in the F-16 and in the heritage flight with the P-51D "Baby Duck". Now I found this ultra cool video from inside the cockpit. The heritage flight with the Mustang starts at 14:45. Note how he is panting under the g-loads and how the wings flex and adapt to high angles of attack. Great!

Cheers,
Mark

The second video is by yours truly. It's features the F-15 landing and taxiing right in front of me. My ears almost fell off, and it was only idling. The interesting part starts at 0:45.

Cheers,
Mark

Great stuff Mark. The Eagle coming right at us is the beginning of my Oshkosh 16 production video. The sounds are fantastic. Just one of the many experiences that makes Oshkosh so very special. Seems everywhere we turned there was a new adventure. Seeing the video of Major Baker from inside the F-16C cockpit just adds another aspect to what is already a great experience. Thanks for sharing. The number of different aircraft is mind boggling. The total for showplanes was 2,855 with 371 being warbirds. The total attendance was 563,000. That sounds like long lines and problems. The way this show is run is awesome. No long lines or problems with crowds. I was informed before attending that this is the way it would be. That is the way it was. The sign on the Oshkosh tower is "World's Busiest Control Tower." During Air Adventure there is no doubt this is true.

I've been following that "AirshowStuff" channel for a long time, and they always have fantastic videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/AirshowStuffVideos/videos

For the Phantom guys, here is a great headcam view of the USAF Phantom arrival at Oshkosh (note the minimalist GA avionics mounted to the dash in order to fly in the modern/GA-type controlled airspace). Unfortunately the two USAF Phantoms at Oshkosh, as well as the rest of the remaining USAF Phantom II fleet, are to be blown-up in target exercises very shortly, for which there is currently a petition underway to try and prevent.

This guy has got some great videos from Oshkosh too: https://www.youtube.com/user/airailimages/videos

Always a good watch, really like being able to hear the Viper motor and when he went through the detents for 'burner.
