Corsair

For those of you who have never tried the alternate flight dynamics for this done by myself for MILVIZ before it was sent over to A2A, they are posted here at the Raushaus. Somewhat more challenging and as realistic for carrier ops as I could make it.

Nice paints!

*rofl* at "Raushaus*

I have your alternative FM, Fliger, and love it. Makes the F4U indeed a bit more challenging to fly. Highly recommended!

Best,
Mark

since you seem to like the corsair, how about another paint for it?
Still wip, but getting there as you can see

Beautiful paint work Jan. The F4U has always been one of my favorite aircraft. I did have the opportunity to run my hand down the side of Pappy's plane at NAS Pensacola where it is displayed. "Fear the Bones".

Another masterpiece, Jan Kees. I admire the detail of your repaints. The image below shows Davenport riding the "Lonesome Polecat" down the taxiway of Ondonga, the homebase of VF-17 in the Solomons.

Thanks!

Jan Kees, that is some very nice work! Outstanding weathering and attention to detail. I see you chipped away a lot more paint from the right wing than the left wing, not everyone gets that correct. There are reasons for the asymmetrical paint wear on the F4U. Entry into the cockpit was only from the right side. Servicing the engine oil filler could only be done from the right side. The Coffman starter cartridge breech was accessible only from the right side. Servicing the water/methanol injection filler was only from the right side. Very nicely done, sir. :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

What a mix , Brilliant Paint , Brilliant Scenery , Brilliant Screen

I will take issue with the repaint for Captain Blackburn's F4U-1A. As far as I know, all of the side numbers on VF-17's Corsairs were insignia white, this one looks to be a shade of blue.
