So I did the next best thing. It's for Owen, because he needs a trainer to learn to fly in.

Actually, they did have 109s with stabilisers... As you'll see if you follow this link. The aircraft I've represented here is near the bottom.

Actually, they did have 109s with stabilisers...

And 2-seat Gustav trainers (same link) - I didn't know about them. :salute:

G-12s, they are. Basically, you take a time-expired G-2/4/6, refurbish it and stick in a second cockpit. Not an elegant solution, but it worked. Seeing as the late-model 109s were quite challenging to fly - and even taxi - it was essential to get some practice before going solo.
