I just had to share this - it's the Bill Lyons Travelair cc10taf.zip which I found only today. I'd never raced a train before!

Yes Bill's stuff still is great entertainment. I am flying his Golden Hawaii and Goose package with Tales of the Gold Monkeye again..

I love that train. Difficult to keep up with.

How on Earth did he do that???? And I think he did this back in the FS2002 days, if I am correct...

Bill

Bill is a genius with FS and designed some of the best software there was for this sim. Take a package such as Golden Hawaii, this package includes two planes, new scenery, new objects, adventures and more and is only around 13mb. This package also comes with a switch so you can change his 1936 Hawaii back to normal or back again.

Download any of Bill's great packages for Fs9 and you will be in for a great time and many hours of fun.

I was going to post a link for a review of Golden Hawaii but found out I was a new guy here and could not :) But you can see it at the Avsim Comercial Package Review pages.

I was looking at that some time ago. Here is how he did it.

The traffic file is TRAFFIC_RR.BGL in scenery/world/scenery.
The AFCADs are XRR1 and XRR2 in addon scenery/scenery.
The trains are TRAIN AI, TRAIN AI 2, TRAIN AI 3, in the aircraft folder.

He has the trains flying VFR at 000 altitude between the AFCADs.

The AFCADs and all the land and water between them are dead flat and straight at 914'.

So all one needs to duplicate it somewhere else is TTools, AFCAD2, FSFlatten, and the scenery package with the trains.
