I have recently tried building a mission for the first time and, with the advice posted on this forum - and help from Beau Brummie, finally got most of it working fine. There are still two issues, however, I can't solve.
1. I created a flight of six 'I-18's taking off from Lerida field in Spain, but only four start on the runway. The other two appear overhead as I am taking off. It's not really a problem for this mission, I just wondered if you can correct it.
2. I wanted to have a vehicle convoy including towed 88mm guns. Not knowing whether there is an actual 88mm in towing configuration I randomly tried several combinations of vehicle and '88' guns from the list and checked the 'Is Towed' box. This has invariably resulted in the mission not loading. The mission runs fine when these are removed. Before I begin to work systematically throught the vehicle combinations (which would have been more sensible) I wanted to ask if there are any known issues with towing that would save me any unnecessary effort.
Just looking at it as I am typing, I have spread factor 2 - could this affect it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
One other point out of interest. I know the downloads aren't available just now but there was some talk on the Forum of an I-16 model by Dancat, with various loadout options, awaiting approval. Does anyone know if it was approved? The' I-18' model only seems to have 500lb bombs available. They may have carried these in reality but with me it waddles of the runway like a like a puffin with heavy shopping.
