The Cubs just announced the firing of GM Jim Hendry. That's mighty good news and a LONG time coming.:applause:

I know Zambrano's not wrapped too tight but I still like the guy. :icon_lol:
I'm glad they fired Hendry, now they need to get rid of field manager Mike Quade who IMHO is a very poor excuse for a leader and motivator. Although I suspect he'll stay around until the end of the season.
 
I would really like to see the Cubs shed the 'lovable looser' image. They are my second favorite team after my Giants. I hope their managment can pull it together so they can build a real contender.
