I recently made three simple repaints for Libardo Guzman/CalClassic's Curtiss C46A Commando, converted to CFS2 in SOH library.

USAAF-Curtiss C-46A-25-CU
A C-46A (41-24698) assigned to Air Transport Command (ATC) lands at Kunming, China in late 1943.
The ATC insignia is painted on the C-46's aft fuselage, near the tail. This aircraft was lost on July 4th, 1944.

USAAF-Curtiss C-46A-CU
Serial: 41-5159
Curtiss delivered this the first production C-46A to the USAAF on 13th July 1942. This aircraft survived World War II. She bears the roundels with "meatball", used at the very beginning of the conflict.

USMC- Curtiss R5C-1
Serial: 14
Marshall Islands, 1944. Upper surfaces are Olive Drab and lower surfaces are Neutral Gray.
A very simple texture, but this is the only no WWII R5C texture I found on the web.
And moreover, it's USMC.....

All textures are based upon an original repaint by Manuele Villa: FS2004 USAAF Curtiss C-46A 'The Tinker Belle'
Most of the job comes from him, and I just added some cut and paste elements.

Have you downloaded these skins to SOH yet? I worked on the conversion and would really like to have these skins. They look great! Let me know if you need me to PM you my e-mail address>

did this one have a better airfile and cfg. there was one that I had downloaded a few years ago. The plane wouldn't fly very well. Tango helped me make a few adjustments. i still have them if anyone needs them.

Funny that you should post that...

...I am presently reading a book titled "China's Wings"by Gregory Crouch which tells the story of the ATC and its relation to another airlift arm the C.N.A.C. The latter was basically a off-shoot of Pam Am Airways and actually out performed the ATC on deliveries. It had been operating in China WELL before the ATC came into being and basically used the DC-2 and later the DC-3.
The book relates where to save a DC-3 that had been damaged they had to marry a DC-2 wing to it to fly it out of danger. Became known as the "DC-2 1/2". Properly repaired it was again subsequently damaged by the Japanese in a raid and washed away by the Yangse (sp?) flood before it could be re-flown.
So far the book is very interesting.

Thank you very much François for these really nice skins. They make it more historic with the sceneries I have installed.
