Great pics Joao! Some museums might be interested:wiggle:
The pilots passed by but their old crows are still in service today.

Mike

Thanks again, Gents!

Mike, I hope you don't mind.... see screenshot below :mixedsmi:

Joao,

that also looks nice:ernae:. However, I would prefer if you slightly lightened the dark zones.
It's not so easy to take a pic out of a flying open plane in winter, is it?:icon_lol:

Love those nostalgic pics!

Mike

Well, I don't mind another try, as they say...

"That's Your Plane!" :ernae:

Carl Ben Eielson's Jenny used to hang in the airport here in Fairbanks before they built the new terminal. Don't know where it is now.

Yes, now I can remember this morning - 60 years ago:wavey:
And that cup of hot coffee at the ATC barrack after landing:icon_lol:

T,

I'd love to see that! Even in FS it can be hard, just imagine for real in those low temps. But that's why those guys made history, too, and we're still talking about them :) CBE has always been an inspiration!

Mike,

And that's one wonderful screenshot tweak you have there. If really fooled me at first glance! Love the grass touch :ernae:

I took these pics early this morning. The scenery is Plum Island - it's really worth to buy and fly! And to warm up a bit, I spent the evening down south in Florida with another peculiar plane and another magnificent scenery (Aerosoft Cap Caneveral).
Where else can you take a journey through time and seasons within one single day?:costumes:
Mike

Must be your credits, Joao! My pics are only clipped, unedited ones.
BTW - your Alaskan Winds Forum is very interesting.

Mike

@ Scotsman...

Did ye no switch the trees over to "winter textures"? Just go to the Plum Island scenery folder in FSX and click the little "bat" file - you'll recognise the name and what it does, but if you are concerned, the manual explains it.

Thanks Chris

Now I can make a winter wonderland myself - didn't realize that before:banghead:
And thanks to Joao for the nice repaint.

Mike

Thanks, Mike!
Very kind of you, Sir.

Enjoy that Maule, is one great default bird and I can't get tired of it :applause:The long glass doors and the VC mobility in FSX make it a complete winner for low and slow!
