Curtiss-Reid Rambler III (Freeware) released 22.07.12

well I love everything about this plane - thank you full - it is a real gem

looks great, flies like a vintage kite...its a winner:salute:

..makes me want to learn the 3D modeling sorcery myself - a project like this just looks like it was fun to research and develope

Hate to be a nit picker but there's one minor animation issue - the rudder pedal movement is reversed.

BTW, I don't see anything wrong with the inclinometer and the watch. They both move together correctly. The inclinometer ball has a bit more friction and is more fine in its reading. This is not a slip and turn indicator ball. The hanging watch is a nice touch!

What scenery is that Dimus? Looks great!
 
Tongass Fjords by FSAddon. Last shot is over Telegraph Creek. It took me 4 go-arounds to take the Curtiss down on that small strip in the bottom of the picture. Due to the trees there is no space for a normal flare and three pointer so I tried a wheeler landing, like a DC-3. Fortunately you can apply brakes on two wheels without nosing over.

Thanks for the reply, I checked again - the results are interesting. I used original release with the rudder fix. Now to be sure, I downloaded the full updated package. It appears that the author of the model fixed the fix, as the ball behaves differently in the fix I originally downloaded and the one I downloaded few minutes ago.
Assume banking to the right - the ball should also move right ("downwards" due to gravity) - this works ok in first fix, but in the newest one it moves to the left. When applying right rudder ("turning" right), the ball should move in opposite way, to the left ("outwards" due to centrifugal force) - in both versions of the fix it moves in wrong way. In other words, in the latest version it works backwards in relation to both bank and yaw ;) To make things even more complicated, in the Curtiss_Reid_Rambler_int_old.MDL , the ball works ok in regards to yaw, but wrong in regards to bank.
I hope that Craig will find time to tinker with it, as such good model deserves good inclinometer :)

I must try this out tonight. A wonderful looking plane with that classic inverted engine nose cowling.

Nice treatment with the lighting on the instrument panel.

What a beautifully handling plane! Gentle to the controls, great sound pack, flies smoothly along. Really a nice machine.

I haven't made a paintkit yet... not sure how to do it while trying to keep the burnt texture effect.

Hey KillBilly any chance you might upload that paint ? it looks great !
