Custom Classic Aircraft Waco Classic Help

Don't know how I missed this one all this time, but just downloaded and installed the Waco Classic Biplane by Lynn and Bill Lyons/Custom Classic Aircraft. Terrific little plane, but I do have a slight problem with the float version. Starting in the water is just fine, but (almost) every time I attempt a landing it's detected as a crash and bounces the thing way back into the air.
Does anyone know a fix for this? (Something to do with contact points, methinks)

A.

Here's a tweaked contact point section for the Waco Classic Float. I removed the wheels, added scrape points and increased the impact speed on the floats so that one does not have to handle the plane with kid gloves to make a successful landing. I tested it by getting the Waco Float air born, cut power and nosed in for a HARD landing.....no crash detection from the floats hitting the water.

Now that's what I call a test ! Many thanks Obio - am about to test myself.

Cheers, A.

As a side note, there have been three or four new skins for the wheeled WACO posted at Flightsim over the last few days by Don Brynelsen that look quite good. Should work on the float version too if you copy over the pontoon textures.

Cheers Terry - it was in coming across those that made me realise I didn't infact have this plane.
All sorted now!

Obio - good news. Just tried a hard water landing (don't really know any other) - didn't sink, didn't bounce!
But I did get a whole lot of sparks and smoke before my spray kicked in, so I removed these lines from the [effects] bit of the config; dirt=fx_tchdrt, concrete=xfx_sparks, touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1.
Still getting sparks and smoke. Odd huh?! Any ideas ?
