Did anyone ever do a Blue Angels paint for this beauty?

WOULD someone please do one if not? :) I know they flew the F7U-1, but this would be close...
 
Put-Put? Would that be the same put-put who in real life is Paul Clawson? That Put-Put?

If so, man has his modeling gotten so much better! I fly a ton of his planes in CFS2 and would love to have a nice F7U to fly around in.

Hey, anyone by any chance have the Blue Angels texture for the Alphasim Cutlass lying around on their hard drive? texture.blue_211664.zip ? It's not on Avsim anymore due to their crash.

Do you know anywhere where those are available for download? They used to be on AvSim, but they were lost in the Great Crash earlier this year. (They still show up in the index, but the downloads don't work.)

Nice! I really liked the Gutless Cutless design. I wish It wasent so underpowered. Very unique aircraft, and I love the unique ones!
 
Okay, got the Cutlass repaint direct from the author! Very nice guy.

Just having one problem... Apparently there are bump-map files on this baby that actually include the Insignia. See screen shot.

(Inside plastic model builder joke: "I didn't now Lindbergh made models for FSX!")

Any idea what files I need to tweak/how to do it, to remove the insignia and numbers from the bump map?

Man, someone forgot the spec alphas on that BA paint. FSX is a whole 'nother ball game when doing repaints, you have to get all channels right.

Is there a paint kit for the Alphasim Gutlass?

At least Aurora and Lindburg got the model right Denny, the Blues flew two dash ones, didn't have any dash threes.

Good to see Panther flying among us again. Was that a smoke wheel landing or take-off?

Yep, there is a paint kit. I believe Pierre Lheureux created the Blues repaint for FS9.

And yeah, I know the Blues flew F7U-1s, but the -3 is the closest thing we have in FSX, so it's fun to pretend. Even the -3 is crazy enough to fly that it gives you an idea why the Blues didn't keep them!
