• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

D3a2

Hello,
it is on Netwings but You have to wait until the Site will be restored on line .
In the other hand You could request on the Community if Someone owns this plane.
Arrivederci

The D3A2 that was @ Netwings is actually a renamed stocker Val if I recall correctly. As far as I know, no authentic D3A2 has come forward although we have been teased with one a few times :engel016:.

You are right! Hago was working in a fine D3A2, but the project disapeared from his page!

Too bad as it was really looking very nice. His D3A1 is still a very useful plane and is one of my favorites from the Japanese arsenal.

D3A2 Val:

I've just read the Wikipedia article on the D3A Val, but apart from a different engine and expanded fuel capacity, was it visually so different from D3A1?.

The spinner and the canopy are different. This what I can recall. There must be other differences.

I was under the impression that Thicko had been given the D3A2 to finish ... but, perhaps I'm wrong ... wouldn't be the first time either!:isadizzy:

Without sounding too obvious, this would be a great project for our master craftsman.

I have another lead on a D3A2 and I'll follow up on that in a day or so.
