Anybody got any photos of Dabolim airport Goa circa mid 60's when Indian navy moved in I'm trying to make some Retro scenery for the Indian Navy Seahawks to fly from. I've shortened the stock runway to the right length but I have no idea which buildings were there originally or what was added later any help appreciated

thanks Hooky

Intresting subject, but i had a google around and there's very little i could find, but i did look on Google Earth and im guessing the area south east of the runway was the main military area, there's 4 Bellman or B1 style hangers running L to R and what looks like RAF style lighting towers also, there's also scorch marks on the tarmac made by small jets that could be a clue, everything on the north side looks civilian or recently constructed, just my pennys worth, good luck
cheers ian

That sounds about right Ian. The Indian Navy took over the old, much smaller, Portuguese civil airport in 1962, all the current civilian stuff is relatively new (1983 onwards) so deleting that should give you the result you're looking for Hooky.
