Hi,
Any video makers here who have experience with Dailymotion and/or nVidia Shadowplay ?.....
I never thought i'd see the day i would be able to show my very first own FSX video but it seems the day has finally come and surprisingly easy as well...
Earlier i tried FRAPS with abominal results no matter what i did. But that was on my old rig which probabely wasn't up to creating videos with FRAPS. Yesterday i installed the new nVidia 340.52 drivers ( my new rig has a GTX 780 Ti ) along with the updated Geforce Experience and just for the heck of it i hit the Shadowplay button and before i knew it i had a couple of great looking videos from TS2014, SH5 and FSX. Holey Moley! That was easy!
( didn't have another go with FRAPS yet )
Now to get it on the net so i can show it to somebody... I never published anything on Youtube sofar, started reading about it and found quite a few comments of people that prefer Dailymotion over YT to publish videos. Easier and better quailty. I can't compare it with YT myself but it certainly proved very easy ( just sign up and hit the upload button) and the quality proved to be very good as well. Atleast in the end because, at first, it would only show in 380 resolution..... However, after playing some other videos at Dailymotion i suddenly had the option to play my video in 720 res and after that even 1080 HD turned up !.... Now idea why but very happy about it!
No idea either why, after embedding the video here in my post, it is indeed embedded here in the composing window but turns up as a link only in the Preview Post ?...... I suppose i'll see what happens after submitting my post...
What i'm still very curious about of course is what exactly will other people see when they play my video.... Would anybody here be so kind to click the link ( or play the video if it may turn up after submitting the post ) and let me know about the quality ? Resolution options are supposed to appear when you click the top right corner of the screen. I get 1080HD now which looks pretty good at full screen, i just wonder if you'll get the 1080 option as well ?....
Bummer that it seems like FSX engine sounds are not recorded while effect sounds like tire screech are.... With TS2014 f.i. all sounds are recorded. Is the only way to add sounds to an FSX video to record them with another program and then add them via a video editor program ?....
And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, Highly Honored Auditorium, Drumrrrrrrrrrrrrooooll!!! please welcome my first ever FSX video! :

Thank you very much for watching ! Every tips about working with Dailymotion/Shadowplay, and especially about adding sounds to FSX videos, will be highly appreciated !
Cheers,
