• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

Damaged Aircraft

P-39d Airacobra

Here is a quick shot of the P-39d. I've added Allen's Prop and I added a seat. I've also opened the door. I still have to do the LODs and fix a few modeling errors. I hope to have it ready alot faster then the Avenger.

I will tell you any plane with out folding wings is "MUCH" easier to work on. The P-39 is not ready for release, Yet, but its near.

Currently I have the OH skins on. Not sure what ones I'll end up using. If I use the stock I'll have to do some work to add the roundels. Also have to do a better damage texture. one that fits the model better.

Once these are finished I'll work on the Dauntless.
 
Dauntless and friends...

The SBD2 Dauntless has been started. I have the model and LODs extracted and ready to go into gmax.

Allen is allowing me to use his Henderson skin for the P-39. So after a little makeover the P-39 should be rolling out.

After the SBD I'm going to do the C-47. Then I will take a look at any others. So for now thats where I'm at.
 
Ahhh :banghead:. Damage textures are not fun. I'm working on the P-39 still. trying to figure out how I want it to look. It is a PIA to work on these textures. so the Airacobra is going to take a bit longer.

Sorry for the Delay...

I have been busy on another project.

The P-39 is finished.

bub has done an excellent job on the textures. These will be released with the model. I'll put the pics in with the upload. Hope to get it out by this weekend. We will see.

The dauntless is sitting and waiting re-construction. That will happen soon I hope. I should have the C-47 waiting as well.

I may do the rest over time. Now that I'm getting better at Gmax it may take less time per model.
