Darker lakes and rivers

SOH-CM-2014
I've tried the only files out there (aawater, inlandwater) that try to give those waters a different texture but I am trying to get something just plain darker. The textures those files contain individually look darn dark already so I was wondering why the result is still a light blue/green, which is an improvement. Are there other texture files besides the ones in the zips above (I think six in inlandwater) that contribute?

Thanks I'd forgotten about those. They change the color more than the lightness if I recall. I think I'll compare them all to see what files are involved, make a good back up and start messing around. I had a stab at making a new detail1 file but made the worlds grass electric bright blue so this will take time.:icon29::icon29:

It's payware but rex gives you light/dark sliders for the water with many different water textures. Among other things of course. Plus they're coming out with another huge free update in a few months.
