Changing underwing stores

I've been meaning to ask this for years ...

I know these are enabled using using the "payload editor" - but what are the weight values for the various stores? Specifically, looking for the 4 x tank configuration ...

thanks,

DL

If you look in the aircraft.cfg for the model you wish to change, the values are written there. The various combinations of stores & tanks vary according to model, so you can't have 4 tanks on an F1 model for example. The pylons / rocket pods etc are controlled by payload weight, but the visibility for the tanks themselves works off the value for the external fuel tanks which must be edited directly in the cfg.

here's the weight section from the FGA.9

station_load.0 = "210, 9.83, 0.0, 1.24, Pilot" // 210 lbs
station_load.1 = 155, 0.0, 7, 0.0, Left inner pylon // 155 lbs
station_load.2 = 155, 0.0, -7, 0.0, Right inner pylon // 155 lbs
station_load.3 = 0, 0.0, 10.0, 0.0, Matra Sneb L inner // 700 lbs
station_load.4 = 0, 0.0, -10.0, 0.0, Matra Sneb R inner // 700 lbs
station_load.5 = 155, 0.0, 10.0, 0.0, Left outer pylon // 155 lbs
station_load.6 = 155, 0.0, -10.0, 0.0, Right outer pylon // 155 lbs
station_load.7 = 0, 0.0, 10.0, 0.0, Matra Sneb L outer // 700 lbs
station_load.8 = 0, 0.0, -10.0, 0.0, Matra Sneb R outer // 700 lbs

and for the fuel tanks:

External1 = 0, 7, -2.46, 0,0 // see note below
External2 = 0, -7, -2.46, 0, 0

// NOTE
// set drop tank values as follows:
// inner 100g tanks only: 120
// inner and outer 100g tanks: 240
// inner 230g tanks only: 276
// inner 230g and outer 100g tanks: 396

Change the value shown in red to 120, 240, 276 or 396 depending on configuration.

Hope that helps.

Just had DG's T8 over the Alps and down into the Swiss Air Force mountain bases - sensational. Thanks for posting the load out reminder - was wondering about this too!

Thanks Dave - will try tomorrow - anticipate no issues.

The nice thing about this approach is that it enables me to "hard code" the configuration I want, so every time I load the plane, it's already how I'd like it (save for the fuel/weight adjustments). Second only to the more recent weapon/store configurators that we see with Milviz and Flying Stations, this is a great way to do multiple store configurations.

Apologies for not reading down into the aircraft.cfg - it's been a while ... :)

Happy New Year!

I'm probably being monumentally thick but I can't seem to see a download for the other single seaters other than the FGA.9 & FR.10 unless im looking in the wrong place?

They're in the 'extras pack'.
