Good evening to all, I call to you because I have no real talent to realize repaints on our favorite planes. I thus wanted to know if somebody is interested to create a repaint for Manfred Jahn's DC-3 of the French company "AIGLE AZUR".Thank you in advance,Best regards.

Jules, that means I have looked on it and as already said nothing more. The fact I looked at it shows I most probably will do the repaint as soon as I find some time. The repaint isn't very complex especially as I can use Gman's excellent paintkit and bare metal textures as a start for it. However the letters and logos need to be drawn by hand, which is always a time consuming thing.

Cheers,
Huub

Lovely shot, Jan Kees, nice find ;-)

This might help a bit as well, Huub :

I hope so RD. And otherwise I can fly it myself.....

Below the result so far. Logo and striping should be finished now.

Bed time now

The scenery is VFR France Haute Normandy, with the Etretat fix installed.

Below a few unedited screenshots.

aah, France VFR, I have a lot of their stuff already, but clearly I need more...

Looking good, but shouldn't the anti-glare panel be a bit larger?

I have spend many holidays along the French channel coast, from "Pas de Calais" until the "Vendee". Thats most probably why I love the VFR France scenery.

Yes the anti glare panel is one of the things I still need to work on. Also the rudder should be aluminium dope instead of polished metal.

BTW For those who had not yet noticed, the model is the F-AZTE dressed as the F-BEFD from Aigle Azur. The original Aigle Azur aircraft had Azur blue cowlings.

October 2006. The F-AZTE painted in Aigle Azur colours to celebrate the 60th anniversary of this airline.

A few small compromises as there are some minor differences between manfred's model and the real F-AZTE. But I think I'm there.

Well at least I'm satisfied.....

Cheers,
Huub
