DC3

I have the JF DC3 and like it o.k., but I really like the MAAM photo real cockpit better with it's weathered look and the photo real textures outside. I agree with roger-wilco-66 that the JF vc cockpit is too new looking. I've made a few paints of the MAAM vs. and also some prop textures for the passenger versions for both FS9 & FSX (they're here and also at avsim & flightsim). Although the default vs. flies well, especially with the upgrades Trev has made as beana51 has pointed out, I've not been satisfied with the look of the default vs 's panel and the fuselage shape. Look straight on to the front and the DC-3 is a round tube, the default vs. is more sqaure like.

Thanx Chuck Lawsen.....Your observations well taken...I also have the David Blitzer attempt for a definitive DC-3....Found a different flavor with it. Probably all know of it,But I'm always a step behind...DC-3RR41P..when one considers in all the years now 75,I think the Venerable DC-3 has been with us,it has ,and still is going thru changes in life,as its reflected in our sim world....Will the Real 2011 DC-3 step forward?....On my Microsoft Flight Simulator Game, for only a few bucks or so,I always am amazed how we can approximate such a complex ,now legend of Avaition..with great art,and attention to details...which makes simming the most exciting of endeavors........Once tried to with Glue,Balsawood,Dope make one,Little did I know I would be flying one on my desk top!..I Recall as a young boy,my Dad and I ,boarding an AA DC-3 Flagship at KLAG in NYC...it was a new and exciting plane ,and adventure, then,as it still is flying it now. With all its history which still makes it a Great plane to have!!....HAPPY LANDINGS
