De Havilland DH.114 Heron

Looking Great Mike, strange I don't recall a spar in the Devon .... funny getting on board we had to do the "Mcgyver" run and jump on a moving aircraft, lotta fun :biggrin-new:

But wasn't the Devon simply the military version of the Dove twin - this is a later and bigger 'cousin' so may not necessarily have the same design features (?)

Devon and Dove have the spar, too. :)

And Ian, why were you having to jump aboard a moving aircraft??

Somebody might want to edit the topic title from DH144 to DH114 Heron... there wasn't a DH144...

Does this make me a rivet counter?

Would have been nice not to make that initial mistake, but I just figured it wasn't that important that this stage, and so didn't do anything about it. But if a moderator would like to correct the number, then by all means! :)

It was just the moment, invited for a twin rating as a sack spuds, aircraft come around from the back of Wigram.. saved a half click run , pulled around, kept everything running, door flicked open and jumped in and off we went . :untroubled:

Nice work, mods.
Looking forward to this one! :jump:

A first look at the external, in bare metal for now as the paint schemes have yet to be chosen. Exhausts, gear door and other parts are not textured yet, and work on the undercarriage is underway. Still lots to do!

:)
