It was just a recomendation, for those likes VC views like me. I do not suggest that you include it in your package. It was not a criticism. Only the MC202 should be updated.I personally like to use VC view for combat. It is the obligatory view when a target is fixed or tracked in CFS2.Also , (let me please) recomend to update the panel of the MC202 Folgore , the VC view has no working gauges. This panel was uploaded in my MC202 356 update.
Feel free to use it or u Rami update it in the library.
Cheers
Mario
Hi Skylane and Rami,
I noticed the Quai/D'Attomo's S.M.82 Canguro (Kangaroo) conversion included in the campaign pack has a rather simple 2d panel, stock US payloads and lousy, 2-blade prop disc textures.
Among the other projects I am working on, I found the time to create a new set of 3-blade prop disc textures, replace the stock bombs with MVG3d/BloodHawk_23's Italian bombs and adapt a new S.M.82 2d panel created by MVG3d.
The new payloads are 100% historical from the S.M.82 groundcrew maintenance original manual, except that I did not exceed 50% capability. This aircraft Flight Model does not allow more than a 2,000 kg. (4 x 500 kg.) total. With a doubled bomb load this Canguro simply does not take off.
Besides, contrary to the information included in the conversion pack, the Canguro was never deployed as a torpedo bomber, and very rarely used as a regular bomber as well. The S.M.82 primary mission was the same as the C-47 Dakota, that was supply carrying and airborne troops dropping.
The 2d panel comes from a work Manuele Villa and I did last fall for Peperez, who was in the process of converting F.Giuli's FS9 S.M.82 Canguro to CFS2, but was forced to put the conversion on hold following computer problems on his side.
MVG3d's S.M.82 2d panel is strictly historical and many of the new adapted Italian gauges for it, I later on uploaded separately, come from our joint effort on this panel.
The Canguro 2d panel bitmap painted by Manuele is simply gorgeous. I adapted Italian gauges to Quai/D'Attomo's S.M.82 Canguro VC panel, although I anticipate it did not come out that great and almost useless, due to a very strange and difficult gauge mapping.
I'll be uploading the addon Quai/D'Attomo's S.M.82 Canguro pack within this week.
