Defiant gunfire sounds

Just in case anyone else is thinking along the same lines, I've done a little mod to replicate the sound of four .303 Brownings firing simultaneously. It's meant for the Defiant, but could just as well be fitted to Lancs, Halibags, Baltimore IIIs, etc.

Packing up all my bits and bobs and they're off to Greg.

hey Nigel,
I've got some good wav files that might help.
if you want I can send them to you.
and I haven't forgotten about the Hawk, just been busy!

Hi Jon! All contributions gratefully received! I've done a new one with the .30 cal sounds which sounds less tinny, but anything that I can mess about with... Will get messed about with! The logic holds for all the aircraft, in fact, so there's plenty to be done.

Don't worry, I haven't forgotten the Hawk either - been busy too. My house has half fallen down...

That sounds great! :ernae:
A suggestion is that the sound file have a new name and be referenced by the power turret gun xdp, rather than replacing an existing file which would lead to more complications. (for example if other non-multiple barreled guns reference the original sound file they would now get a 4 barrelled sound effect unless the new sound file has a unique name).

Hope I have explained the suggestion clearly,
D

Don't worry, I got there before you! ;-) Entirely new weapon reference, so if you want to use it, you'll have to edit the xdp of the aircraft in question yourself. Still in testing because there's a bit of indecision on my part about which sound files to use of the three or four I did!
