DeHavilland Dash-8 For FSX?

Walter

Does anybody know of a good DeHavilland Dash 8 for FSX that has an autopilot AND a good VC? I always seem to find a Dash 8 with one or the other.

Thank you,

Walter :mixedsmi:

Is the Majestic Dash-8 available for FSX? The last I saw, they had the closest thing to a good-looking, high-detail model out there, and they're very good at systems. I'm just not sure they've released an FSX version yet.

PMDG is developing at least a Q300 (unconfirmed on a possible 200 as well) if you're patient. Obviously it will be a while yet, but it's coming.

Typing in "PMDG" in Google resulted in the page appearing immediately....
http://www.precisionmanuals.com/

The real action can be found if you dig through the PMDG Support Forums on Avsim however. With that in mind, barely anything has been posted about the Dash thus far other than that one of PMDG's dev teams is working on it. Other than that, we likely will not see many updates until the 737 is out the door and people stop drooling over that.

While very obviously not a Dash-8, I would highly recommend PMDG's "Jetstream 4100" turboprop. Highly realistic in all aspects, and very fun to fly! If you fly under Part 135 or the European/Oceania equivalent, it'll fit your needs regarding realism in all realms of flight.
As always, be sure that your system is capable of handling graphically high-end addons for FSX.

I own the Majestic Dash 8. From the standpoint of systems, sound and training it is a worthwhile, comprehensive model. Visually the aircraft leaves much to be desired. If you are accustomed to the A2A, Milviz or PMDG level of quality and detail you will probably be disappoiinted in the MJ Dash8. The dash panel and instruments are not crisp and easy to read. The exterior model is well crafted but lacks the "eye candy" of the others. The model appears to be a port over variant packaged for FSX.

Positives: The sound set is awesome, especially if you own a high end sound system. Reverse function is built into the system so your throttles function as they would in the real aircraft. Flight idle is forward on your hand throttles with reverse thrust avilable by pulling hand throttles all towards the back. The systems are intensive and well worth learning if you are interested in this particular aircraft.

Negatives: The visual model leaves a bit to be desired when compared to comparably priced alternatives.
IMHO

Did my ears hear late lol. Why yes a FSX native Dash 8-100 with VC does indeed exists. At least for me. What i need is a FDE person as the default FDE is a mess lol. I found a nice Challenger VC at flightsim.com by Richie Schwertfeger and also FR. Bill Leaming.
