• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Denair Ca teen told he cant have american flg on his bike

Denair Califonria today,11-15-10

a young teenager i think he was said to be 13 had been riding his bicycle to school with an american flag,the school told him he couldnt do so,he protested his right to do so and as of yesterday..they school backed down and appologised..but today 200-500 motorcycles escorted him..all flying american flags along with several cars with flags,and people lineing the streets.the reason givin for not allowing the american flag?..on cyinco de myo..the mexican flag had been displayed above the american flag at this scool it seems and cause "dissention" among the comunity..and the school superintendant..a hispanic man it seems...did not want the hispanics in the area upset by allowing this kid..an american in america to be allow to display the american flag.....( i didnt make this up,it was reported)

seems the Denair california area is an area populated by mexican nationals for farm labour...

Okay this makes me MAD!!!!
Since when does another country flag (mexico) get the right to be flown above the American Flag in America!!!

I feel this could get too political for this sub-forum, but House Hobbit, not only is it an insult, but it is also illegal by the laws of the Constitution. The only buildings in America that can have any other nation's flag above the Stars and Stripes are Embassies. Even corporations here that are owned by international concerns must fly their nation's flag below that of the US flag. Ditto, no State flag may be flown above the US Standard.

There are no racial undertones. Hispanics are caucasians. The only undertone here is one of insult and resentment at other's failure to maintain a reasonable amount of respect for this country.

If that's asking too much - there are alternatives.

yeah i knew i made a mistake when writing by putting the hispanic part in..i appologise for that..i shulda just left that out...but heres a link..
