Dewoitine D-520

Does anyone knw if there is a "Dewoitine D-520" that works in FSX ?

Hi T,
I had to think about that one for awhile, but yes there is and for some reason I have never tried it until now. The excellent D-520 for FS9 by Jean Mermaz works in FSX and can be found here...

It is a very good model in my opinion and ports well. A few minor issues; change the [Window00] entry, "render_3d_window=1" to "=0". The sound is aliased to the F4U so you might want to drop in a different sound pack. There is a good Hispano-Suisa sound by Lawdog in the SOH library. The asi is not supported in FSX. The warning says "Fouga airspeed indicator" but in the panel cfg it is listed as "Dewoitine520_badin". Just comment it out and/or replace it with your own gauge in both the 2D panel and VC.

There are several textures included and there is also an excellent repaint by Manuele Villa representing one of the D-520s operated by the Regia Aeronautica.

Thanks Hurricane

I started thinking about that one last night. I have it in my FS9 install, solid aircraft.
