UncleTgt,

Truly awesome work! Is this crate multi-lod, by chance?

You want a scary thought? Picture flights of these over Europe rather than the Boeing Type 299. (which became the B-17) Many of the Army's brass actually preferred this model!

Such an ugly aircraft only a mother could love, but spot on beautiful paints!

Thanks Uncle! :icon29::icon29::icon29:

Got 'em all. Thanks.

About 10 years ago, my son and I were on the south end of McChord AFB on our way to the BX. Near the engine test stand was a beat up old B-18. We stopped to look at it and while we were inspecting it, a van drove up with several elderly veterans. They had all crewed Bolos over the Caribbean during the war on anti sub patrols. It was fun to listen to their stories and they made my son feel pretty grown up as thay talked to him while they explained the intricacies of the old bomber to him.

Here's what the McChord B-18 looks like now after its restoration.
