Ki-46 - type mismatch?

I can only agree to Ramis statement, because it seems that there is a kind of type mismatch according to http://www.faqs.org/docs/air/avdinah.html
Following this source
- the Ki-46-II has not the correct cockpit shape and should be a Ki-46-III and vice versa,
- the Ki-46-3b is correctly a Ki-46-IIIb ("Otsu") and
- the Ki-46-3b+c is neither a a Ki-46-IIIb ("Otsu") nor a Ki-46-IIIc ("Hei") but instead the interceptor Ki-46-III KAI ("Kaizen" for improved)

The B24 guy had simply misnamed the mdls when he did his reworking. You will need to swap the -III model & -II models over, renaming them correctly & you'll be good to go.
Good catch with the IIIb & IIIKAI.
For the purists, you'll see the -II is simply the -III KAI model without the guns....
, the canopy's not really correct for the early model -II, but it's just a target to shoot at, it'll do!!!
